I will go over the tools and programs that I use to work as a web developer. This is a great video for people that need to set up a mac for web development or have just bought a mac and need to set up a new computer for web development.

A disclaimer: These choices and options in this video are all personal. I don’t claim to know everything or know what the best choice are, but this is the fine balance that I have found for working on my personal machine for doing web development.

The main tools that I use on my mac for web development are:
A text editor - Sublime Text. Other Options - Atom, Brackets
An IDE - Webstorm
Web browser - Chrome/Firefox/Safari
Terminal
Github Desktop
Filezilla
Postman / Web server for Chrome
Node JS - For NPM
MongoDB + RoboMongo
iTunes - I like Apple
